RAE | Rainbow Advocate and Educator
The RAE track is open to all professionals. If you in Mental Health, Medical Health, Alcohol Drug Counseling, Social Work, Education, School Administration, Faith-based Leadership, Human Resources, or Law Enforcement, you can register for our Mod 1 course. The RAE Module 1 must be taken prior to registering for the RACS Module 2.
Module 2
RACS | Rainbow Advocate Clinical Specialist
If you are a Licensed Mental Health Professional, you can continue on to complete the RACS track. You do not have to be a IITAP member prior to attending (you will register as Non-Member on the Registration page), however, you will have to have completed the RAE Module 1 in order to register for the RACS Module 2.
Rainbow Program Benefits
Upon Completion of the Rainbow Advocate & Educator Module 1 training, you will:
- Receive a Certificate of Completion with the Rainbow Advocate Continuing Education (CE) awarded, Rainbow Logo, and RAE Credential
- Subscribe to the Rainbow Advocate ListServ to exchange valuable tips, business referrals, and information from other RAE/RACS members
- Become listed and searchable as a RAE or RACS on the Rainbow Program website directory
- Receive information for upcoming trainings and business marketing opportunities
Program Outline
RAE | Module 1 – 3 consecutive days.
Thursday – Saturday.
Any related materials will be provided in advance, typically via Digify, our preferred digital platform. You will receive all your information sent to the email address you provide during registration.
RACS | Module 2 – 3 consecutive days. Materials and future dates TBD.

Approved Continuing Education Provider (ACEP)
The International Institute for Trauma & Addiction Professionals (IITAP)* is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. IITAP maintains responsibility for this program and its content.
NAADAC #92253 – National Association for Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors
LMSW #0224 – New York State Education Department’s State Board for Social Work as an approved provider of continuing education for licensed social workers
MFT #0031- New York State Education Department’s State Board for Mental Health Practitioners as an approved provider of continuing education for licensed marriage and family therapists
MHC #0060 – New York State Education Department’s State Board for Mental Health Practitioners as an approved provider of continuing education for licensed mental health counselors
CAMFT #135430 – The International Institute for Trauma Addiction Therapist (IITAP) is approved by the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists to sponsor continuing education for LMFTs, LCSWs, LPCCs and/or LEPs. IITAP maintains responsibility for this program/course and its content.
International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals(IITAP) has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 6251. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. IITAP is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs.
Bi-Annual Renewal:
Rainbow Advocate and Educator (RAE)
- Required to renew membership as a RAE every two (2) years
- Update and/or verify RAE Directory listing on certifiedrainbowadvocate.com
- Pay bi-annual renewal fee of $25.00
Rainbow Advocate Clinical Specialist (RACS)
- Required to renew membership as a RACS every two (2) years
- Update and/or verify RAE Directory listing on certifiedrainbowadvocate.com
- IITAP Members (CSAT, CPTT, PSAP-S, and PSAP) must earn 3 Continuing Education (CE) in Rainbow Advocate specific webinars, workshops and future Symposium Conferences*
- Note: The 3 RACS CE’s are inclusive with the required CE’s for your current certification (not additional)
- Non-IITAP Members must earn 9 Continuing Education (CE) credits in Rainbow Advocate specific webinars and workshops**
- Provide copy of valid or updated clinical license
- Pay bi-annual renewal fee of $50.00
**Rainbow Advocate specific workshops and webinars will be provided on a continuing basis for RAE and RACS members.
*The Rainbow Advocate Program is an affiliate of IITAP, International Institute of Trauma and Addiction Professionals.
